Easy Breakfast Cheese Danish

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (8 oz each) crescent roll dough

  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 whole egg

  • 1 egg white (for brushing)

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • In a bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and whole egg until smooth.

  • Unroll crescent dough and separate into 8 rectangles by pressing perforations.

  • Spoon about 2 tablespoons of filling onto the center of each rectangle and spread slightly.

  • Fold corners towards the center, overlapping slightly, and press gently to seal.

  • Brush dough edges with egg white for shine.

  • Bake for 15 minutes or until golden and puffed.

  • Whisk powdered sugar and milk to make glaze. Drizzle over warm Danishes.

 

  • Cool slightly and serve.
