For the Base:

  • 1 large ripe banana, peeled and chunked
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons (32g) natural peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon espresso powder
  • 1 scoop (30g) chocolate or vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon (6g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch of salt

For the Toppings:

 

  • 1/2 banana, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa nibs
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons granola of choice

Instructions

  • Prep Ingredients: Peel and chunk the banana. Measure all base ingredients.
  • Blend Base: Add banana chunks, almond milk, peanut butter, espresso powder, protein powder, cocoa powder, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt to blender.
  • Blend Until Smooth: Blend on high for 30-60 seconds until thick and creamy. Adjust thickness with more almond milk if needed.
  • Taste and Adjust: Taste mixture and add more espresso powder or cocoa powder as desired.
  • Serve: Pour thick mixture into bowl. Top with sliced banana, cocoa nibs, chia seeds, and granola.
