  • 1 pie crust (9-inch)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound Italian sausage
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or provolone cheese
  • 1 cup pizza sauce or marinara
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

 

  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F. Place pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and set aside.
  • Brown the Meat: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter. Add ground beef and Italian sausage. Cook for 8-10 minutes, breaking up the meat, until browned. Drain excess grease.
  • Season: Add garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes to the meat. Stir and cook for 1 minute.
  • Add Sauce: Pour pizza sauce into the skillet and stir well. Add half of the pepperoni slices and mix. Remove from heat.
  • Layer the Pie: Sprinkle half of the mozzarella and half of the cheddar or provolone on the pie crust. Spoon meat mixture over cheese. Top with remaining cheese and arrange remaining pepperoni on top.
  • Bake: Place pie dish on a baking sheet. Bake for 35-45 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.

 

  • Rest and Serve: Let pie cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
