Peanut Butter Cup French Toast Rolls

  • 8 slices sandwich bread
  • 1/4 cup (64g) creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons Nutella or chocolate spread
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

 

  • Butter for cooking

Instructions

  • Prepare Bread: Remove crusts from bread slices. Use a rolling pin to flatten each slice until thin.
  • Add Fillings: Spread about 1-1/2 teaspoons peanut butter on half of each bread slice. Add a small amount of chocolate spread on top.
  • Roll Up: Starting from the filled end, tightly roll each bread slice. Set aside.
  • Make Coating: In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, sugar, and cinnamon until smooth.
  • Cook Rolls: Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Dip each roll in egg mixture, coating all sides. Cook rolls, turning every 2-3 minutes, until golden brown on all sides (about 8-10 minutes total).

 

  • Serve: Serve immediately while warm with your favorite toppings.
